Rainbow Etching

In this activity, the children first painted the cardboard an assortment of colors mixed together. When it dried, they used rollers and covered them in black paint and then began etching with the back of the paintbrush. It was a very high sensory activity as the children got to get their hands really into the paint, and the way the colors were revealed as they etched away the black. Each child wanted to make multiple etchings and when we were finished we had a beautiful gallery of unique images.
